The PF32K09E is a 32KByte Embedded Flash Macro (EFM). The macro uses a single 1.8 volt power supply to perform both read and in-system programming.The macro has a built-in internal charge pump to generate high voltage for write(program) and erase operation. It does not require the 12.0 Volt VPP power supply typically needed for other technologies.
The flash block is organized as 32 uniform pages of 1K bytes each. The page erase feature allows a particular page to be erased without affecting the data in other pages. After the device performs a macro erase or a page erase operation, it can be reprogrammed on an 8-bits basis.
The PF32K09E is manufactured using the advanced 0.18u pFusion flash technology that is compatible with the 0.18µm logic processes. The technology employs a self-aligned stacked-gate cell design, less than 10 volt internal program/erase voltage, and a disturbance-free array design that can provide better reliability and manufacturability than alternative embedded NVM solutions.
